INFOSHEET DEUTSCH“turbo dreams”, die vorab veröffentlichte single zu ellen alliens & apparats gemeinsamen album “orchestra of bubbles, gibt es auf dieser ep sowohl als long version (a-seite) als auch als remix (b-seite).
als erster nimmt sich pier bucci “turbo dreams” an.
der durch seine zusammenarbeit mit luciano und seinen releases bei crosstown rebels bekannte produzent gibt dem track eine dunklere klangfarbe, dünnt ihn aus und verzichtet fast vollends auf die im original reichlich vorhandenen delays bei beats und synth. der eher sphärische charakter des originals wird so mittels trockener, minimierter beats noch mehr in richtung techno geschoben, der dann im verlauf des tracks durch den einsatz der keyboardflächen mit einem i-tüpfelchen house angereichert wird. resultat ist eine höchst kompatible clubnummer, die dem original als gleichwertiger konkurrent gegenüber steht.
zweiter remixer ist der in windsor ansässige marc houle, der schon seit einiger zeit zu minus’ neuer produzentengeneration zählt und sich acid-house und 80ies synth-pop als inspiration auf seine fahnen geschrieben hat.
auch er minimiert das klanggefüge des originals und arbeitet mit nur einer keyboardlinie, die sich in unterschiedlichen klangfarben durchgängig durch den track zieht. die beats auch hier trocken, doch heller als bei pier bucci, mit claps und angedeuteten trommelwirbeln, die das ganze stetig nach vorne treiben.
“turbo dreams” auf dem plattenteller, freuen wir uns schon jetzt auf die nächste singleauskopplung des grandiosen albums von ellen allien & apparat: “way out” (release: 29.05.2006) - man darf gespannt sein!

INFOSHEET ENGLISH“turbo dreams”, the maxi single of ellen allien & apparat of their album “orchestra of bubbles”, is available on this ep in a long version (side a) as well as in two remixes (side b).
the first one to put his hands on that track is pier bucci.
known by his collaboration with luciano and his releases on crosstown rebels, the producer gives the track a darker colour, thins it out and almost never uses the delays on beats and synths that are abundant in the original. the rather spherical character of the original gets in this way, and with the help of dry and minimal beat, pushed towards techno and facets of synths also give a note of house to it. the result is a very compatible club track that can easily face its original version on the dance floor.
the second remixer isthe windsor based march houle, who has been part of the minus community for quite a long time already and who gets his inspiration through acid-house and 80ies synth--pop.
he also thins out the sound structure of the original track and works with a keyboard line that winds throughout the track with different sound colours. the beats are as dry as in the first remix, but lighter and with claps and implied drum rolls that push everything forward.
