WASHING UP 12"

buzz number one about "washing up"

this is a killer!
haven’t heard it yet? you will unquestionably do again and again in the coming months… it’s the one that goes like (scale going up on nagging synth) ‘tu tu tu, too too too, tee tee tee , whee’, er, you’ll get the picture soon enough. many are already calling it this year’s ‘rocker’ and for a good reason, this fun electro-techno track stands out a mile from most of the
genre’s fairly dull (sterile?) production. the wicked riff’s down to thomas anderson’s original but it’s canada’s electro-rave meister tiga who’s turned the killer interpretation currently caned by all. no wonders ‘washing up’ has house, electro, techno, breaks djs foaming at the mouth, it’s simple and addictive enough to rally all. based on a cheeky mental hook that sticks in your head quicker than it takes to down a short (or two), it sounds different enough to make an instant impression. the beats aren’t bad either and easy to bop to - the breakbeat section obviously referring to les visiteurs’ fab ‘acid snoop’, another popular underground choon these last few months. in one word ‘washing up’ rocks and doesn’t take itself seriously, far from it.
